As it is in any sim, here in rise, factions, groups, and gangs are a necessary part of its roleplay. So let us break down for you the difference between them.

-Rise Roleplay Groups-

Rise only has 3 groups in total. One group for Staff, One Land Group, and One Main Roleplay group. We will never condone separate groups for factions. There will be no official groups outside of these three.

-Rise Roleplay gangs-

Rise Roleplay gives players the ability to create their own dreams, characters and hearts desires, however, we do not have the ability to moderate and condone each individual group. This means that when you join the police, or work at the club, those are considered gangs, and not full factions. Factions Additionally can run out of a location, without owning the business [and the other way around]. That said, those without the ability to Apply for a full faction, lack the numbers/approval, or lack the desire to be a registered faction, you have a gang!

-Rise Roleplay Factions-

For those not interested in the above and are seeking a more permanent place on the sim will need to submit a faction application by scrolling down after gathering a group of six total players.

As prim count is limited, Rise will only host the police and hospital factions; all other faction statuses will be issued on a first-come first-serve basis. Once all faction slots are taken, groups will have to wait for space to become available. Open slots will be awarded to the group with the greatest activity and population on the sim, as determined by a player vote.

After being accepted, factions will be allocated a faction space. No custom buildwork is guaranteed. Rise staff reserves the right to revoke faction status and all its benefits from any faction that doesn’t follow the RULES. Faction status will also be revoked for inactivity. Factions are considered inactive when they do not engage with the rest of the player base or stories created by other players, are not seen on sim, other fail to respond to attempts to contact them by the staff.

Faction leaders have a storyteller position. This means that they are required to create roleplay for their players. If at any point staff deems the faction inactive, the faction will be given 2 weeks notice of violating the terms of owning a faction and an opportunity to justify inactivity. Factions will have a month to resolve inactivity and return to good standing before staff revokes their status.

Player beware, internal faction drama is not an acceptable reason to lack traffic. This is SL and drama will happen. Inactive factions rob other players a chance to shine and this policy is in place to prevent stagnation to allow the sim to change with its player base.
